About Brevard County Bridal Association

In 1986, some wedding professionals here in Brevard County decided there might be a need for a professional organization. They notified vendors who they did business with on a regular basis and invited them to the very first meeting. That group was orchestrated by a now defunct bridal salon called The Gingerbread House. About 30 vendors showed up at the meeting which was held at (also now defunct) Sweetwater’s Restaurant in Melbourne. From that get together, a charter was drawn up along with bylaws and a firm commitment to watch over the growing wedding industry here on Florida’s Space Coast. Through research, we have determined that the Brevard County Bridal Association is the oldest continuously operating professional wedding association in the State of Florida.

For over 30 years, the Brevard County Bridal Association has fostered and promoted local wedding professionals, be they full time wedding businesses or businesses who cater part-time to brides. We have put on dozens of wedding shows that bring the latest fashions, trends and bridal magic to local brides and out of town brides planning a wedding here as well. When you have a wedding or reception using members of the BCBA, you can rest assured that you are utilizing only the most professional and finest wedding businesses in Brevard County, Florida.

Our Mission Statement:

The Brevard County Bridal Association (BCBA) was created in 1986 to enhance and promote the bridal industry. Its mission is to provide information and assistance to the bridal consumer who understands that there is no substitute for experience, reliability and professionalism. We have become a vital source of information and expertise for those entering the unfamiliar experience of planning a wedding.

The BCBA is committed to create, foster, promote, and maintain cordial and ethical relationships among its members and within the community it serves. We strive to advance the bridal industry in all its branches and to promote all things that may be of practical benefit to the profession and the consumers it serves.

The organization, promotion and presentation of two to three wedding shows per year, sponsored by the Association, help keep consumers up to date on the many products and services available for their wedding.

As a self regulated group, the Association allows only members of foremost integrity and quality to join the organization. Any member who fails to adhere to the standards set forth is removed from membership. This guarantees a dependable, professional organization in which the bridal consumer can have the utmost confidence.
